José Esteban ha aliñado un libro, ya clásico entre los clásicos de la bibliografía gastonómica, donde versos, insignes literatos y recetas maridan a la perfección. Que desde el Quijote de Cervantes, y aún antes, no hay autor de talla que no haya mojado su pluma en la sopa de cocido ni alimentado su musa con humeantes garbanzos, chorizos y patatas.
