La relevancia del Taller de Gráfica Popular (TGP) en las relaciones entre arte y política del México posrevolucionario sigue siendo objeto de múltiples investigaciones. Uno de los propulsores centrales del TGP fue Leopoldo Méndez (1902-1969), de quien se celebró el centenario de su nacimiento con dos grandes muestras: Leopoldo Méndez y su tiempo. Colección Carlos Monsiváis y Leopoldo Méndez: el privilegio del dibujo. La importancia y riqueza de ambas muestras han quedado registradas en este volumen, que brinda una fascinante aproximación al universo de Méndez, mediante las imágenes y los textos que contiene.
