Con los siglos, esa conjugación creó una serie de ritmos bailables que fueron expandiéndose tímidamente. Sobre todo se adentraron en Nueva York, donde los migrantes latinos luchaban por sobrevivir y este sonido les sembraba alicientes. En medio de esta marginalidad nace la salsa, hace más de veinte años. Fue un grito de rebeldía entre identificados del ser latino, que invadió las barriadas del continente y saltó los océanos.
