Va obtenir, a més, un enorme èxit, tant de públic com de crítica: «Les petites obres d'art que sovint amaguen les preguntes del descordat Pasta Gansa s'ho valen: històries quotidianes en forma de minúscules píndoles que uneixen imaginació i sentit de l'humor, tan enginyoses com intranscendents, tan fotetes com efímeres» (Pau Vidal, El País). «És un llibre fresc, d'una creativitat espumosa» (Julià Guillamon, La Vanguardia).
