Biografia d?una dona forta russa, nascuda a Riga el 1891 i aviat establerta a Sant Petersburg. Exiliada a París hi dugué a terme una gran activitat entre els emigrants russos. El 1932 féu professió monàstica i continuà dedicada al servei dels germans, fins al punt d?acollir pobres, marginats, prostitutes, refugiats i jueus perseguits. Tot això la dugué al camp de concentració nazi de Ravensbrück (1943), on morí a la cambra de gas el 1945.
