La presente edición de la obra poética y los cuentos de Luis Feria reúne los textos elegidos por el poeta para los quince libros publicados entre 1962 y 1996. Incluye, además, una serie de textos aparecidos en revistas literarias y secciones culturales de periódicos desde 1955, los cuales nunca recogió en volumen.
Luis Feria nació en Santa Cruz de Tenerife en 1927. Ha traducido al Truman Capote, Eluard, Caldwell y Cavafis, entre otros. Premio Adonais en 1961 por su libro Conciencia y en 1964 Premio Boscán con Fábulas de octubre, ha publicado además Calendras (1980); Clepsidra; Dinde (Pre-Textos, 1993), Salutaciones (1985), Más que el mar (Pre-Textos, 1986. Finalista Premio Nacional de Poesía 1987); Subrogación de sor Emérita y otros prodigios (1987), Del amor (1988), Cuchillo casi flor (Pre-Textos, 1989) y Casa común (Pre-Textos, 1991. Finalista Premio Nacional de Poesía 1992).
