En los museos nos encontramos a muchas mujeres representadas en obras de arte, pero muy pocas mujeres artistas. Pero hay muchas, y siempre las ha habido. ¿Por qué se las ha olvidado? Porque la historia del arte ha sido escrita por hombres, para hombres, y ellos se han otorgado el papel protagonista.
Ha llegado la hora de que las mujeres artistas vuelvan a ser el centro de atención. Desde el Renacimiento en Europa hasta nuestros días en todo el mundo, todas estas creadoras, a menudo vanguardistas, han contribuido a la historia del arte con genialidad.
Como artistas visuales, pintoras, escultoras, fotógrafas y realizadoras de vídeo, han creado obras que dan testimonio de nuestra humanidad. Este cómic muestra a las artistas trabajando lo más cerca posible de la creación de sus obras. Porque tanto en la historia, como en las artes, cuanto más visibles sean las mujeres, más se reducirá la desigualdad.
