Desde entonces, se han sucedido múltiples protestas en motivo de las cumbres internacionales del G8, el Banco Mundial, la Unión Europea, el G20... entre las que cabe destacar las masivas movilizaciones contra la guerra de los años 2003 y 2004. El estallido de la ?gran crisis? en el 2008, con el hundimiento de Wall Street y la crisis financiera, abrió un nuevo escenario para las resistencias a la globalización. Una crisis que puso en evidencia la cara más destructiva del capitalismo global.
