En el aislamiento necesario para escribir su siguiente novela, la escritora española encontró inspiración para estas breves páginas que describen la localidad catalana. La traducción al francés de este poema, publicado originalmente en 1961 en Santander, ha sido realizada por Lou Freda, autora también del prólogo. Olivia Funes Lastra ha realizado los dibujos y el epílogo.
