La Segona Millor. Com viure sent la Segona Millor? Contribuint de manera invisible perquè la roda de la vida continuï funcionant. En un soterrani trobem un ésser, una dona arxivada plena de potencial i que ningú no veu. En aquest segon graó, sembla que assagi un paper. Diu que serà el seu últim personatge. Una munió de veus parlen a través d'ella: les segones millors. Personatges que la ronden. Cargolada de riure, a vegades àcida, ben mirat diu que ha baixat a plorar. Somia en espectadors per al seu darrer paper: una protagonista de mentida. L'acompanyen una carretada d'objectes que ha traginat durant anys, la seva rentadora i un maniquí de costura. Tot sembla omplir-se de vida en aquest marge on ella es rendeix a ser la Segona, com moltes d'altres que, sense saber-ho, sustenten el món d'una manera discreta, poètica i necessària.
