Lluïsa Cunillé ha estrenado más de sesenta montajes entre obras originales y dramaturgias. Es cofundadora de las compañías Hongaresa de Teatre y la Reina de la Nit con Paco Zarzoso y Xavier Albertí. Entre los numerosos premios que ha obtenido figuran el Premio Nacional de Teatro del Ministerio de Cultura 2010, el Premi Nacional de Teatre de la Generalitat de Catalunya 2007 y el Premi Ciutat de Barcelona 2004.
En su teatro, el espíritu lúdico se pone al servicio de un discurso intelectualmente activo y se abre al territorio ilimitado de la sugestión. Su particular universo y su poética inimitable la han consolidado como una dramaturga de absoluta referencia en el panorama teatral. Las seis piezas recogidas en este primer volumen (Occisión, Conozca usted el mundo, La cantante calva en el McDonald’s, La noche, El burdel y Dictadura) constituyen una muestra muy representativa de su producción reciente.
