La presente edición de la Eneida realizada por Dulce Estefanía, catedrática emérita de filología latina en la Universidad de Santiago, presenta algunas características destacables: ? En primer lugar, su condición bilingüe, que permite un acceso enriquecedor al texto original de Virgilio, ofrecido aquí en la excelente versión de R.A.B. Mynors (Oxford, 1969). ? En segundo lugar, su amplio e interesante estudio introductorio, con bibliografía actualizada, así como el extenso y muy útil aparato de notas (contextuales, históricas y filológicas). ? Por último, sus exclusivas ilustraciones: esta edición de la Eneida es la primera en ofrecer las maravillosas iluminaciones en color del manuscrito ilustrado más antiguo del texto de Virgilio que ha llegado hasta nuestros días, el códice Vergilius Vaticanus, datado hacia el año 400 d.C., actualmente conservado en la Biblioteca Apostólica Vaticana (Cod. Vat. lat. 3225).
