He donat a les sis conferències un títol unificador: «Tocar el món a través de lÆarquitectura», derivat dÆun comentari de Maurice Merleau-Ponty sobre les pintures de Paul Cézanne, que «fan visible com ens toca el món». Al meu entendre, aquesta és també una labor fonamental de lÆarquitectura: proporcionar-nos un punt de suport existencial en aquest món, i conscienciar i expressar com ens toca el món i ens abraça, i viceversa, com toquem el móna través dels nostres sentits i del nostre enteniment. «A través de la visió, toquem el sol i les estrelles», escriu Merleau-Ponty.
