El teletreball, realitat nova i poc coneguda a l'Europa meridional, és un fenom en estès en altres zones del planeta, sobretot als Estats Units, on s'impulsa no només des de les empreses, sinó també des d'alguns sectors governamentals. Expli ca la seva implantació i seu paper com a activitat alternativa i motor del desen volupament a zones rurals i rururbanes de Catalunya, Ardèche i el Québec.
