Por entonces, en el curso 1909/1910, veintiuna españolas estudiaban en las aulas universitarias y, de hecho, entre 1910 y 1920 su presencia siguió siendo más bien anecdótica, pero la Residencia de Señoritas consiguió implantar a lo largo de la década de los veinte un nuevo modelo de mujer.
