Composta pels volts de l’any 1200, aquesta epopeia que celebra les proeses dels antics guerrers, talment com la Ilíada homèrica, ens ofereix una captivadora combinació de virtuts cortesanes i honors cavallerescos, però també d’odis, deslleialtats i carnatges d’allò més brutals.
