Los infamantes deseos de los hombres, su turbia primacía respecto de la voz de la razón, obsesionaron a San Agustín, que veía en elllos el manantial del que brota el mal. El filósofo y padre le hizo frente al gran desafío intelectual que aquella omnipresencia, la del mal, supone para el pensamiento cristiano: ¿cómo absolver no ya al hombre, sino a Dios, al buen Dios?
