El llibre “Turista a babord”, de Sebastià Roig, recull la visió, generalment negativa i sarcàstica, que la premsa franquista donava dels turistes que visitaven la Costa Brava. Així ho demostren nombrosos exemples extrets de les pàgines de periòdics i setmanaris del Régimen, com Los Sitios de Gerona, El Pirineo o Ampurdán. Aquest assaig periodístic –rigorós, però escrit en to informal i amè-, reflecteix alguns dels canvis socials, culturals, econòmics i urbanístics provocats per l’arribada massiva de turistes a les comarques gironines, entre 1940 i 1970.
