La vida de Candena no se asemeja ni por asomo a lo que había imaginado. Años atrás, su intento de burlar las fuerzas que moran en el bosque fue frustrado por un ser diabólico que le arrebató su única esperanza por ser libre. Ahora, la bruja vive presa de su propio error junto a su hija, su yerno y sus dos nietos. La familia ha sobrevivido por años aislada, jugando con la magia más tenebrosa, pero, para sorpresa de todos, será lo que aguarda más allá de la espesura lo que atraerá el mal al corazón del bosque.
