El 1982, un escriptor que s’assembla a Marsé entrevista un home condemnat a presó l’any 1949 per un assassinat que recorda haver comès sense recordar-ne el mòbil. L’objectiu de l’entrevista és escriure el guió d’una pel·lícula per a un director pertinaçment antifranquista, tot i que serà produïda per un manefla de la televisió que converteix la història en un porno històric protagonitzat per una puta cega.
