Le corps lesbien (1973) su tercera novela utiliza figuras de la mitología griega, de la poesía de Safo y del ritual eclesiástico para «lesbianizar» la historia. Una serie de ensayos publicados por Monique Wittig en los años setenta clarifican algunas de sus ideas y han sido utilizados como guía para la lectura de su narrativa: especialmente El pensamiento heterosexual (2006).
