Escrito con decidida proyección cinematográfica e ilustrado con 33 grabados de Masereel, llenos de detalle, fuerza e intención, el libro se imprimió con específicas indicaciones de carácter tipográfico que pretendían alterar en lo posible el modo de leer convencional, añadiendo mayor intensidad a su desbordante ironía.
