Els poemes reboten els ecos de la Guerra Civil i l’exili dels seus contemporanis, de l’amor declarat i, sobretot, de la malaltia i la mort. El llibre també inclou fotografies dels últims anys de la vida de Màrius Torres al Sanatori de Puigdolena.
En homenatge al poeta lleidatà, aquesta petita joia vol crear un pont de poesia catalana entre Catalunya i els lectors en llengua anglesa.
