Els poemes de Josep Borrell impacten, són bells i punyents, són profunds. I quan diuen desesperança t’aboquen al fons d’un mateix. Són lúcids i la veritat massa sovint és dolorosa. Qualsevol d’aquests poemes, així que ens penetra en la consciència, ens desbarata de cop el discurs que elegantment hem desenvolupat, tant a les xerrades de cafè com a les cadires d’ateneus. Però l’amor de què parla el poeta també és desig. Desig del cos, també és sexe, també són els dits i els llavis i els ulls que omplen tot el poemari.
