Coincidint amb el centenari de Mario Bunge, arriba per primera vegada en català una selecció fonamental dels seus textos sobre filosofia de la tecnologia, que, si bé podríem considerar clàssics pel moment en què van ser redactats, mantenen una vigència plena, atenent els debats sobre el paper de la tecnologia a la societat d'avui. El propi Bunge ha elaborat un pròleg especialment per a aquesta edició, i el segueixen un altre pròleg d'Alfons Barceló, i una introducció i un epíleg d'Antoni Hernández-Fernández. Tots aquests textos contextualitzen i destaquen l'enorme valor de l'obra bungeana davant dels reptes socials actuals en què la tecnologia és ubiqua.
