Stella está ansiosa por embarcarse en otro viaje a algún lugar desconocido. En su anterior expedición, vivió un sinfín de sucesos maravillosos y descubrió sus orígenes como princesa del hielo.
Ahora la aventura, en forma de buitre gigantesco y temible, ronda ya su jardín. Esta horrible bestia rapta a Felix, su padre adoptivo, y lo lleva a la cueva de la temible bruja Jezzybella.
Stella, Ethan, Shay, Habichuela y un nuevo amigo, Gideon Galahad Smythe, experto en pícnics de expedición del Club del Felino de la Jungla, irán al rescate de Felix y se enfrentarán a todo tipo de monstruos peligrosísimos, comerciantes poco honestos y objetos embrujados, y quizá, sólo quizá, aprenderán un montón de cosas sobre sí mismos.
