Titulades Radiocinema sonor, aquestes «conferències radiades» van resultar un gran èxit, i són la base d’aquest llibre, en què Castanys fixa la mirada—irònica, escèptica, però sempre amable—en el setè art i l’impacte que tenia sobre els espectadors catalans de l’època.
