Els animals es reuneixen per protestar i decideixen convocar unes eleccions per triar un nou governant de la selva. La Mona, la Peresosa, la Serp i, també, el Lleó volen presentar-s'hi, però abans de començar la campanya electoral tots els animals han d'estar d'acord en com es realitzaran les eleccions i quines normes les hauran de regir.
