Y Taita, general del ejército egipcio, regresa victorioso del campo de batalla a un escenario adverso: Tamose ha fallecido y su hijo, Utteric Turo, joven, cruel y débil, ocupa el trono. Acusado de alta traición y condenado a la pena capital, Taita encontrará un aliado en Ramsés, el hermano de Utteric Turo, que deberá decidir entre permanecer en silencio y convertirse en cómplice de la tiranía del nuevo monarca o ayudar a su amigo a escapar, traicionando a su familia, y recuperar Egipto.
