La Rosa Blanca és una nena alemanya que presencia la detenció d’un nen per part d’uns soldats. Seguint el camió on el traslladen, arriba a una tanca de filferro amb nens immòbils a dins, presoners, famolencs i que porten una estrella cosida a la roba. Les seves anades i vingudes a aquest camp de concentració seran contínues i d’amagat, per portar-los menjar. Ambientada en l’Alemanya de la Segona Guerra Mundial, l’Holocaust jueu està en el rerefons d’aquesta obra. Enfront de la tragèdia humanitària i la desraó bèl·lica, la figura de la Rosa Blanca representa l’esperança, per mitjà dels sentiments més purs de la infància: bondat, innocència, generositat, absència de prejudicis.
