Neixen en un instant, fixen un moment, la mirada hi queda continguda i el temps, a mesura que passa, els confereix noves dimensions: el passat torna transformat en memòria, potser en record, i el present en recrea la història. La fotografia pot arribar a ser tan enigmàtica com ho és la vida.
Sota l’allau de les imatges que ens arriben pertot arreu, és difícil pensar en quina perdurabilitat tindran les fotografies, ara que el suport sembla que ha perdut el caràcter essencial que encara manté el material guardat.
Joan Fontcuberta ens ofereix una investigació sobre l’eloqüència (i el patiment) que poden mostrar-nos les fotografies; Xavier Antich duu el seu assaig cap a les múltiples possibilitats de la mirada. I tots dos es complementen com a «biògrafs» de vides que estan per revelar.
