També hi ha inclòs fets i personatges d'àmbit mundial que per la seva transcendència ajuden a contextualitzar la informació sobre Catalunya. S'hi esmenten frases textuals i cites de documents i llibres que enriqueixen el text i el fan més amè. Al final del llibre, hi ha diversos annexos que complementen la cronologia.
