En este volumen ofrecemos toda la poesía amatoria, que se corresponde, en líneas generales, a su época de galán de corte y primeros años de matrimonio. Aparecen, pues, aquí, la serie Songs and Sonets, las Elegies, el poema The Autumnall y la controvertida epístola Sapho to Philenis, en una edición bilingüe que recupera la primera versión en lengua castellana de los textos, publicada por primera vez en 1978.
