Una tarde de lluvia, un pequeño duende que vive en el bosque sale a buscar el arco iris. Atrapado por la noche, encuentra un escondite para poder descansar, que resulta ser la madriguera de una movediza de insectos. Decidido a quedarse a vivir con sus nuevos amigos, el duende les ayuda en caso de necesidad, y es por sus acciones tan valientes que le ponen el nombre de "Follet Valent".
Pero no todo es paz y felicidad para los habitantes del bosque. Allí también vive una araña negra y peluda, que tiene por costumbre aprisionar los que caen en la telaraña. Podrá esta vez el "Follet Valent" frente y poner fin a esta terrible situación?
