Portbou, 1990. Una jove apareix penjada d'un arbre. Porta un vestit blanc, com de núvia, i ningú no sap qui és. La investigació confirma que es tracta d'un suïcidi, tot i que no aconsegueixen identificar la víctima.
Vint-i-cinc anys després, l'inspector Garibaldi descobreix el cas. Malgrat el temps transcorregut, decideix traslladar-se a Portbou per investigar què va succeir. Però allà topa amb entramats molt poderosos de tràfic de drogues, proxenetes i corrupció política que no li posaran les coses gens fàcils. En Garibaldi sap que es juga la vida, però, tot i així, està decidit a indagar fins al final.
