Sham viaja en el Medos, un tren que recorre los infinitos raíles que conforman el Mar de Hierro, en el que habitan numerosas criaturas monstruosas y se esconden terribles peligros. En los escombros de un tren descarrilado, Sham encuentra unas fotos que lo pondrán sobre la pista de algo que, hasta entonces, creía imposible.
