Molts d?aquests salms han estat escrits a partir de circumstàncies concretes de tipus pastoral. Han estat redactats durant un període llarg de temps, com una resposta a les diferents situacions en què es troben les persones o la societat en la qual vivim. Són evidentment desiguals perquè han nascut en circumstàncies molt diverses. Volen oferir una oportunitat de pregària per a totes aquelles persones que viuen la inquietud del nostre temps i es fan ressò de les angoixes més profundes de l?home d?avui. Mn.
