La generosa vegetació de la zona acompanya la gran riquesa d'art romànic que trobarem en ruta: ermites, esglésies i masies de gran bellesa. Tots els itineraris d'aquesta guia són circulars i tenen el seu punt de sortida i arribada a la vila comtal de Besalú. Un poble que per la seva història és fuster i matalasser del bressol de Catalunya.
