Jordi Sierra i Fabra a la premsa En un petit poble hi ha una fossa comuna coneguda com la d'«Els Tretze de San Agustín», perquè hi van soterrar tretze homes del bàndol republicà torturats i assassinats durant la Guerra Civil. Però quan comencen les exhumacions, dins del programa de recuperació de la memòria històrica, només apareixen les restes de dotze cossos. On és el que hi falta? Paral·lelament, el nét de l'afusellat desaparegut malviu a la gran ciutat, on tracta de forjar-se un futur propi, lluny del poble i del passat. Tanmateix, el passat retornarà ara, malgrat tot, amb més força que mai.
