El monòleg de la prostituta és el discurs interior d?un ésser que vol anar més enllà del pur mercadeig per enlairar-se a l?univers de la poesia. I en aquest sentit hi ha dibuixat un paral·lelisme, una unitat entre la prostituta i la paraula poètica, que en el fons volen assolir el mateix destí. Hi ha una critica social evident. La universalitat d?una denúncia que essencialment no ha canviat en milers anys d?història perquè la condició, l?esclavatge i el tracte del sexe, continua essent igual ara que sempre.?
