La violenta revolta contra la invasió francesa
L'acció de La sang dels francesos, finalista del II Premi de Novel·la Històrica Juvenil Far de Cullera, recrea un episodi brutal que va tenir lloc a la ciutat de València durant els primers mesos del 1808. Com a conseqüència de l'abdicació del rei Ferran VII i de la presència de tropes franceses a la península Ibèrica se succeeixen els esclats de violència i episodis de terror. El jove Vicent serà testimoni d'alguns fets horripilants, i també protagonitzarà algunes accions que tracten d'evitar nous vessaments de sang.
