L'abril de 2004 feia tot just un any que la recuperada Càtedra Ramon Llull havia iniciat la tasca de difusió de la vida i obra de Ramon Llull (1232-1316). Per donar a conèixer la feina empresa des de la Càtedra Ramon Llull, durant els dies 1, 2 i 3 d'abril, es dugueren a terme a Palma les Jornades Internacionals Lul·lianes <>. Després d'una trentena llarga d'anys, les Jornades suposaren que Mallorca fos novament seu internacional de projecció lul·liana..L'aplec científic comptà amb l'aportació d'investigadors d'arreu, que presentaren els seus treballs de recerca més recents. En aquest volum es reuneixen els textos de les sessions d'inauguració i clausura, ponències i comunicacions que s'hi varen presentar.
