Por todo este tesoro de arquitectura y pintura la UNESCO lo declaró, en diciembre de 2000, "Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad". Sin embargo, el valle de Boí contiene también otros tesoros: el paisaje, las tradiciones y una riquísima cultura popular.
