Cada año, World Press Photo invita a los fotógrafos de prensa del mundo a participar en el concurso World Press Photo, el certamen anual más importante y prestigioso del fotoperiodismo mundial. Todas las fotografías fueron juzgadas en febrero de 2017 en Ámsterdam por un jurado internacional independiente compuesto por 20 reconocidos profesionales. El ganador del World Press Photo del Año, así como los demás premiados, demuestran con contundencia que la exactitud y la justicia importan.
Lo sabemos porque los millones de personas que visitan las exposiciones en todo el mundo dicen dos cosas importantes.
