Anders Petersen (Estocolmo, 1944) tenía dieciocho años cuando llegó a Hamburgo y encontró el Café Lehmitz casi por azar. En 1968 regresó al Lehmitz, conoció a nuevos clientes, entabló contactos y comenzó a hacer fotografías, turbadoras en su franqueza y autenticidad, desprovistas de voyerismo y falsa compasión.
