Hace cien años, a finales de 1917, cristalizó uno de los episodios que se habían de revelar decisivos en la historia del siglo XX: la revolución bolchevique acabó definitivamente con el imperio zarista y alumbró la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas, oficialmente disuelta en 1991 con la dimisión de su último dirigente, Mijaíl Gorbachov.
