El que realment ha afaiçonat el paisatge de les Gavarres ha estat la intervenció humana al llarg de la història. Les Gavarres ja van ser ocupades en edats prehistòriques. D02019;aquests primers pobladors, n02019;han quedat els dòlmens i els menhirs. Segles més tard, ja durant l02019;edat mitjana, l02019;ocupació territorial es va configurar al voltant de les parròquies, els castells i els masos dispersos que van anar construint molins, rescloses, recs, forns, rajoleries, fonts... configurant el paisatge que coneixem ara.
