ESTUDIOS SOBRE EL MONTE TESTACCIO III: ROMA

El presente volumen recoge, en su primera parte, los estudios relativos a los materiales hallados en las campañas 1993-94. La peculiaridad de estos materiales es que corresponden a una fecha, en torno a los primeros años de reinado de Antonino Pío, habiéndose hallado los nombres de mercatores hasta ahora desconocidos. Al mismo tiempo es de particular importancia la publicación, por primera vez entre los materiales Testaccio, de un buen número de tituli picti sobre ánforas africanas.. En la segunda parte de la obra se recogen estudios sobre gravimetría, flora y poesía relativos al Monte Testaccio, así como otros estudios tipológicos sobre las ánforas Dressel 20 del Testaccio, y otros estudios generales sobre la producción de aceite en el mundo romano...The current volume gathers, in its first part, the studies related to the archaeological material from the digs of 1993-94 in Monte Testaccio. The peculiarity of this material is that it is dated approximately on the first years of Antoninus Pius time, having been documented some names of unknown mercatores. At the same time, the publication is also very important as it includes a large amount of tituli picti on African amphorae of the Testaccio material for the first time.. The second part of the book includes gravimetric, flora and poetry studies related to Monte Testaccio, typological works on Dressel 20 amphorae from Testaccio, and, other general studies on olive-oil production in the Roman world.
