La Catedral de Jaén conserva un magnífico conjunto de bienes muebles que acoge obras nacidas de artistas tan destacados como Pedro Machuca, Valdés Leal, Pedro Roldán o Sebastián Martínez, entre otros muchos. Sin embargo, la portentosa arquitectura del templo ha ejercido una gran sombra sobre este rico conjunto patrimonial. Cien Obras Maestras de la Catedral de Jaén pretende mostrar esta riqueza, equiparando el contenido con el continente. El catálogo se estructura en tres grandes bloques, los dos primeros dedicados a escultura y pintura y un tercero en el que tienen cabida las artes suntuarias y el documento gráfico y textual.
