En aquesta obra antològica de la poesia de Marta Pessarrodona, hi ha una selecció dels millors poemes que l?autora terrassenca ha publicat en llibres com Setembre 30, Vida privada, Memòria i, A favor meu, nostre, Berlín suite, Homenatge a Walter Benjamin, Eros més que Thànatos i L?amor a Barcelona. El llibre recull també poemes nous de Pessarrodona que anticipen dos llibres que es publicaran pròximament: Variacions i Animals i plantes. Marta Pessarrodona ens diu al pròleg del llibre: ?Una vegada més, la meva ambició és publicar uns ?Collected Poems? i m?he d?arrecerar en l?antologia, com ho vaig fer el 1994, quan vaig publicar Tria de poemes. Aleshores vaig cometre un error que no penso repetir. Vaig incloure al volum un llibre nou, Eros més que Thànatos, amb el resultat que, excepte una persona poèticament molt desvetllada (Sam Abrams), ningú no se?n va adonar. Ara, doncs, aquest volum és el que pretén el títol [?] Sóc molt conscient, i ho agraeixo, que hi ha noves generacions de lectors que potser volen llegir-me i no poden. Una sensació sempre molesta.?
